At Trutech Wildlife Service, protecting wildlife and supporting the communities we serve go hand in hand. Recently, our Orlando team traded uniforms for gloves, bags, and buckets to take part in a shoreline cleanup along Daytona Beach. Together, we rolled up our sleeves to cover a 3 to 4 mile stretch of coastline and make a difference for both people and wildlife.
Beach Cleanups
Beach cleanups may seem simple, but they create an immediate impact. Every piece of trash collected, from plastic bottles to fishing line, was one less hazard for seabirds, turtles, fish, and other marine life. Removing litter helps protect wildlife from injury or entanglement while also keeping the shoreline beautiful and safe for families to enjoy.
Community Service Impact
While working, our team was reminded why these efforts matter. We encountered seabirds and crabs close to the surf, a powerful reminder that this coastline is home to many species that depend on a clean environment. Seeing them in their natural space made our cleanup feel even more meaningful.
The day was filled with teamwork and determination. By the end, we could see the results with bags of debris removed and a cleaner, safer shoreline left behind.
