Our Tampa team recently partnered with Keep America Beautiful and Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful for a habitat restoration project. Together, we made a meaningful impact at Reed Park.
Reed Park
Nestled along the Hillsborough River, Reed Park is a local gem known for its scenery, butterfly gardens, and outdoor recreation areas. Our team proudly helped transform the park’s landscape by planting new additions in the butterfly garden, clearing overgrown vegetation, removing debris, building a seed library, and even taking part in a boat cleanup!
Randy Hankins, district manager, highlighted the impact of the project:
“One of the key areas was Reed Park, which had sustained significant damage during the 2024 hurricanes. By coming together as a team, we made progress in restoring the park. Our team worked on rejuvenating flower beds, building library-style book houses, clearing overgrown vegetation, removing debris, and hauling away unnecessary equipment.
…Partnering with Keep America Beautiful, we helped build momentum for continued cleanup and restoration efforts across the Tampa Bay area following the hurricanes.”
By planting native species and restoring the habitat, we helped create a cleaner, healthier outdoor space for residents and local wildlife alike. Projects like this strengthen community pride, encourage people to connect with nature, and support long-term environmental sustainability.
